Reason for the stay as I was making a delivery to Princes Street and it required an overnight stay. It was about a 15 minute drive to the hotel from the City and there was buses too. The Melville breakfast was excellent. We ate over the other pub and had the carvery which was great value and the other night we ate in Bonnyrigg which was only a five minute drive the restaurant was an Italian called Gigi which was very good, great service and great food.
The Melville is easily reached by road from the A7 and loads of parking.

Nothing. The room was dirty, sheets were stained, the window wouldn't close and the toilet was leaking on to the bathroom floor. Definitely wouldn't advise for anyone with asthma, the bathroom ceiling was absolutely covered in mould.
