Location was great with large room. We didn’t have breakfast as there were a lot of restaurants nearby. We were comfortable and air conditioner was working well.

This hotel was fantastic overall! The breakfast was delicious, the bed was incredibly comfy (and huge!), and the location was perfect for exploring the city. Plus, having secure parking in a closed lot was a major plus.

Located in Southern France, Avignon is the largest capital of the department of Vaucluse. Classified as a UNESCO world Heritage Site, the charming city centre is home to the palace of the popes, Rocher des Doms, and the bridge of Avignon.
The historic Palais des Papes is one of the most significant medieval Gothic buildings in Europe. Set within a square with the same name, the Papal Palace is an important tourist attraction where you can see the pope’s private chambers and frescoes by Matteo Giovannetti.
Le Pont d’Avignon was built in the Middle Ages and, according to the legend, a young shepherd called Benezet was inspired by angels to build the bridge. The children’s song "Sur Le Pont D'Avignon" is now famous all over the world.
The beautiful gardens of Rocher des Doms are ideal for a promenade or picnic. Featuring a large pond, swans, ducks and lush vegetation, this place is perfect for relaxing moments. From the top, you can enjoy the views of the Rhône.
You can stay in one of Avignons' hotels, apartments and B&Bs that Booking.com offers. Situated in the village of Montfavet, Avignon-Caumont Airport is only 8 km away from Avignon.

I’m not happy about leaving a bad review, but I have to share honest feedback to be fair to future travelers. This place was not at all what we hoped for! The neighborhood is not clean and doesn’t seem safe. There’s very limited parking on the street, so I recommend getting there no later than 17:00, as you’ll have to park really far or pay extra 20 euros for their private garage. The first bedroom was musty and had a strange odor. The blankets on the beds seemed very old. The linen didn’t match and neither did the curtains. There were stains on the couch. The dish sponge was old and dirty. The beds were very uncomfortable, hard as if it was just a board. The door to the second bedroom had a big brown stain on it. The worst part was the shower, so much mold everywhere, it smelled bad, couldn’t use it! Stay away!

I liked the city, with Palais du Papes etc, but also the surroundings. I travelled in bus to Pont du Gard, St Remy de Provence (van Gogh area!) and southern part of Parque Natural Régional du Luberon, all very exciting places.

Lovely ancient town, where you wish you could step into the past to see how it all was in the old days.
What I found sad to see, was quite a few (especially) French poor people, apparently living on the streets

Well worth a visit .
Well worth a visit . It still reflects the mediaeval days of the Popes, but has splendid modern shops, a great market and a whole spectrum of good restaurants and is small enough for old people like us to cope with

We loved walking around and just taking in the feel of it all. We took a wine tour and loved driving through the villages and beautiful country side. Avignon takes you away from the big cities fir a real taste of France.

Beautiful medieval city with impressive palaces, churches, walls etc.
A wonderful place to hang around.
After sunset it might feel a bit uncomfortable, however I did not feel particularly unsafe at any point.
It's a small family owned hotel in a very nice and safe location. The hallways were a little bit outdated but clean. The AC in any scale above low was very noisy. Rooms facing the front seem bigger. Very quiet!± Also, the most comfortable mattress and pillows I have slept in a hotel so far. They have complementary coffee and tea. The breakfast was very good. The staff were amazing. Very close ro the train station. Overall, I would go back if I am back in Avignon.
Everything! The inn is absolutely gorgeous! Brian, the owner, has thought of every little detail to make the property very welcoming. We were there for 8 days and wish it was longer. I honestly can’t say enough about Bastide de Bellegarde. The location is perfect for visiting Avignon and beyond. The breakfasts were amazing - Alex did a spectacular job with the omelettes. We really felt like we were staying with friends, rather than a “hotel” atmosphere.
This was a nice place with updated rooms and clean bathrooms but some rooms are not accessible by elevators. The staff is very helpful and kind. The hotel has a lovely rooftop deck for drinks and light food, especially nice in the evenings. The location is fairly central to Avignon for walking but there a more than a few homeless people who hang out in this area at night so walking back from dinner in the evening isn't as pleasant as other areas of the city.
This hotel and its staff is an absolute bliss! Located within walking distance of the train station, yet close to the old town. A staff that provided several recommendations for two dinners and made the reservations directly, a brand new hotel (2022) with a fantastic, clean, modern room (Junior Suite), a breakfast with a view of the busy town, a charming hotel manager with a very helpful team - it was our best experience of a 14 days trip through France!
This place is magical. We couldn’t believe how stylish it was and the amount of space available. We only spent one night but wished it were longer. There is a lovely hidden garden and beautiful patio area with sliding doors, perfect for a bbq (which was provided). Great location for a walk into the walled city where there are untold restaurant’s ts and bars in stunning back streets. Can’t rate this place highly enough - it’s luxury at a great price.
I found this hotel to be very pleasant, welcoming and comfortable, contrary to some "horror story" reviews floating around from disgruntled guests. The rooms are standard Mercure/Accor hotel style, WiFi was fast, staff good. Very quiet at night - a must for a sensitive sleeper like me! Breakfast particularly nice buffet & enjoyed the little outdoor area for dining. Unbeatable location for palais des papes and the Pont d'Avignon.
This hotel is fabulous!! The location couldn’t be better.. it is on the main road inside the walled city..
The staff and front desk are so helpful- they printed our train tickets, gave us maps and even opened a bottle of wine for us!
The rooms are spacious and lovely… bathrooms modern…the breakfast has everything you can imagine - eggs, cheese, fruit, pastries, etc..
Book a room here— it’s the best kept secret if Avignon!
Hotel within the old town area of Avignon with (limited) parking. Very well taken care of location with friendly and helpful staff. The hotel has a very pretty patio where you can have breakfast, coffee or hide from the hot afternoon sun. The main touristic sights of Avignon can be reached by foot (about 18 min to the Popes Palace) and there is a vivid bar scene just around the corner.
One of my favourite stays in France. The lobby/reception area was quite lovely and there were a few friendly cats casually hanging around as well. The hotel was superb and had comfortable beds. It was also located close to all the attractions; everything was within walking distance. Also, be sure to visit the Irish Pub right on the corner as their food was brilliant.
Three minutes from Avignon TER station. In front of an ancient wall thus feel a history. A room is wide and open. Hotel has a relax garden. We stayed two nights to enjoy Avignon, Arles (can go by TER by 15 minutes only), and Luberon excursion (day tour). Highly recommended.
It's a beautiful hotel out on the Island about 50 mins walk from central Avignon. It was wonderfully special. Staff were friendly and the restaurant was really spectacular food. Very busy as well, so always need to book.
Location was quiet and the rooms were lovely.
The hotel was in a convenient location about 10 minutes walk from both the train station and city centre. The room was clean and came equipped with a small kitchenette. Would recommend as an affordable place to stay in Avignon.
Very ordinary hotel with tiny bedrooms you couldn’t swing a cat in the bathroom. The location was okay. Parking was difficult but overall don’t bother staying in Avignon its nothing special! And neither is this hotel
- Loic was very helpful. Thank you for all the suggestions and your help
- The place is amazing. If you want luxury this is the place 👍🏼
- Very central place, you can go to city center by 5 minutes walking.
Lovely boutique hotel right in the middle of beautiful Avignon with an easy walk to everything. Wonderful room and delightful, friendly, knowledgeable owner. Highly recommend!
the hotel is right next to the center of Avignon. the room was exactly as advertised, and the staff are super friendly and helpful! not sure what else I could ask for.
