Comfortable one night stay. Room was good although bed seemed to be very small for a double but was OK. Could see ocean from window. Breakfast was very good.

I actually booked it for my stepson & his girlfriend. They said the room was really nice with a sea view. And the breakfast was good also. Thanks

The receptionist was very helpful and flexible when we arrived and found us a room our Guide Dog puppy could have access too.
The breakfast provided was good.
Other than the work noise during the day which included swearing (wholly inappropriate) the bit of the hotel we were in overlooking the small courtyard was quiet

Aberystwyth looked a little run down since the last time I visited about 20 years ago ..a lot of student lettings on seafront and the majority of buildings needed a coat of paint.
We were advised to go to pier restaurant where apparently they did steaks and various other options but when we went they only served fish and chips. Very nice but abit disappointed there was not a menu. Served in a box with wooden cutlery, a bit disappointed that we had such lovely views and a nice atmosphere and had basically a take away but to eat indoors .
We had breakfast at ‘The Home kitchen’ that was lovely
General the local pubs are very nice and not too expensive.
We did have dinner at the Marine hotel that was very friendly and inviting
Constitution Hill was an experience you can either walk up or go on the cliff railroad and when you get to the summit there is a lovely restaurant/bar not to mention the beautiful views from the outdoor dining area

I liked the shopping as lots of craft shops and charity shops. Lovely walk along the front and you have the ruins of the castle at one end and the funicular railway at the other end. Worth going up in the funicular as lovely views at the top and the café has delicious ice cream.
There are lots of bars and places to eat so you won't go thirsty or hungry.
I can recommend an Indian Restaurant called the 'Light of Asia' - very tasty food and a good vegetarian selection.
Also a vegetarian/vegan café called 'Dragonfly Bistro' with lovely food and very friendly staff. I would recommend the Sunday Roast but book a table as they are very popular.

I loved the bay and the coastal walkway.
I loved the bay and the coastal walkway. I was disappointed with the condition of the properties along and around the seafront. A feeling of neglect around the small streets. Lots of seagull droppings and rubbish cluttered these areas. The area around the train station was more desirable.

Bikes from all across UK headed there on a sunny day. The roads were fantastic and the places of outstanding beauty were stunning too!

We enjoyed the closeness of everything and being able to walk to most places. It was an interesting town which we look forward to exploring more fully on our next visit.
We ate at a restaurant right next to the station, The Athro lounge, good selection for vegetarians and child friendly, to be recommended.
The room was well ventilated and the staff gave us a fan, without us having to ask, due to the heatwave. In addition to this the view was over the town and had an excellent shot of the Library of Wales. Furthermore we ran into the staff on a night out and were as lovely and friendly as they were at the hotel. Finally the TV had an assortment of streaming services such as Netflix and Disney +, which meant we got to watch shows we otherwise would have been able to see. I will be staying here again when I next come to Aberystwyth.
The room looked like it have never been slept in, smart and clean. The bathroom was exceptionally clean, tiles, shower door, flooring. I’m only mentioning this as other hotels look far more tired, so it was a pleasant surprise. I had a roast dinner and breakfast, both were quite posh- quality food (beef, bacon, sausages) and well cooked (cabbage, roast potatoes) and well presented. The dining room and bar area are also very well presented and exceptionally clean
The keys are picked up from another small set of apartments on bath street, directly behind the seafront one. The apartment is right in the seafront opposite a diner, so lots of interesting people watching from your window seats. Very clean, lots of little extras like fresh milk, various teas and coffee, even decaf, salt and pepper, even oil. Can sign into your Netflix on tv. Lovely cosy stay would highly recommend.
The hotel is in the heart of Aberystwyth so once you manage to park ( and we were lucky enough to secure a space in the small car park at the rear) you can walk anywhere. The staff were really welcoming and friendly and keen to help. We ate in the bistro and food was excellent and good value as was breakfast. Free bottled water machine available to guests.
The property has been refurbished in the 2 years since we last stayed here. It has been decorated very tastefully and the rooms are both stylish & comfortable. We also had a family meal here on our 2nd night and the food was delicious and good value for money. This is our “go to” hotel in Aberystwyth and is always a great place to stay.
Room overlooking the seafront, smaller than on a previous stay but still very pleasant. Good sized bar/Dining area that gave a relaxed feel to the hotel. Friendly and efficient service from the staff. Good breakfast.
Great to be able to get up in the morning and go out, cross the road and have a swim!
The rooms are on two different floors and it gives a kind of "family house" feeling. The town is absolutely charming and the accomodation is on a very central place, just few steps from the beach. It is not possible to park in front of the house, but there is a cheap parking lot nearby.
The location and facilities are great. The rooms are immaculate and filled with nicety’s. The “help yourself kitchen” is a bonus. I have spent numerous nights here and because of this hotel, Aberystwyth is at the top of my list of places to visit with my family over the coming months.
spacious very comfortable, clean room; supported by excellent breakfast. Although no restaurant for evening meals, hotel provides list of food delivery services from Aberystwyth and provides plates and cutlery for eating in bedroom.
Very comfortable and nicely decorated room with a beautiful view of the sea. Helen on the front desk was very friendly and chatty. The breakfast was good. Carpark at the back of the hotel. Great location in the middle of the prom.
the view was excellent. Aberystwyth is a jewel in Wales crown. the location of the hotel on the beach front has the makings of an excellent stay. Unfortunately this was let down by the standards of the staff and service.
