We stayed in Nafplio for 2 days but we could have stayed much longer because it is beautiful town with many places to visit. From here we went to Epidaurus, Tyrins and Mycenae, all these are extraordinary archeological sites. The Palamidi fortress is a huge medieval citadel that sits on a hill overlooking the city, very impressive and well conserved, a masterpiece on itself. The problem there is the parking lot which is really very very small for the huge amount of visitors. It is very crowded at most times. The city center is very picturesque, narrow streets with beautiful houses and flowers everywhere, lots of small shops and boutiques.

Nafplio is a lovely and picturesque town, with lots of good restaurants and shops. It's in a lovely setting, and there are a fair few things to see and visit in the town itself, while it also makes a great base for exploring the rest of the Peloponnese. The only thing it lacks is a top quality beach, which is perhaps just as well or it would be overflowing with tourists!

although nafplio itself is not large, especially if you stick to the old town which is the most interesting part it is a good base for local tours either with a bus/ktel, affordable taxi or a car. We would have liked to at least check out Epidavros as well and a near by monastery. if you plan to visit nearby sites without basing your self in nafplio 2 days is plenty other wise 4 days to fit Mycenae and Epidavrus

3 nights max is perfect for Nafplio during the winter season. The city is beautiful, the Venesian forst was fabulous and the food is good. The only issue I have with the city is the terrible smell, air quality that seems to start around 5pm and continues until about 8 pm.
Andrews has an awesome owner and staff.
They really know what hospitality means.
The apartment was very spacious and modern.. The breakfast was the best we had while in Greece. And when you're there, make sure you try the owners homemade orange cake. It's delicious! Sakis, the owner, arranged for our transportation during the week we were there. We kept the same driver the whole week who was also excellent, and at any given time, he was always just 2 minutes away from us. We are looking forward to our visit next year.
This small hotel was perfect for my stay to Nafplio. It is right in the old part of town and so close to the beach and port.
The bed and bedding is extremely comfortable, the best sleep I’ve had during my trip. Like a cloud!
I had a room with balcony and it overlooked terracotta roofs and a beautiful church dome.
Breakfast was bountiful, fresh and delicious and Dimitris is an excellent proprietor, friendly and accommodating and quick to reply when I had to ask questions.
I highly recommend you book here!
We spent four days at the Perivoli hotel. we are a couple, looking for some quiet place and cultural activities. The hotel is a really nice place for that, as there are just 15 rooms or so, and the ruins of Ancient Greece a few kilometers away.
the staff was quite nice and helpful, always available and they did everything they could to serve gluten free dishes as I have a celiac problem. the food was really good, with ingredients of very good quality.
to sum up : I wish I could stay a few more days.
IT WAS AN ENJOYABLE STAY FOR 2 NIGHTS IN BEAUTIFUL NAFPLIO. THE HOTEL IS OPPOSITE A BUS STOP FROM ATHENS- ASK THE DRIVER AS THE FINAL STATION IS A BIT FAR. VERY CLOSE TO LIDL SUPERNMARKET AND WALKING DISTANCE TO TOWN AND ATTRACTIONS
THE OWNERS WERE EXTREMELY KIND AND HELPFUL. THE ROOM WS GREAT WITH A VIEW TO A LOT OF GREEN LEAVES. EVERYTHING WENT VERY WELL- HAD WHAT I NEEDED FOR A GREAT STAY- NICELY DONE ROOM VERY CLEAN. I WILL RETURN EUFCHARISTO DEAR PANAGYOTIS AND FAMILY
Location is excellent to tour Old Town Nafplio and the small fort. The beach is a 10 minute walk away and restaurants are 5 minutes away. There is free parking available if you arrive before 2:00pm, because it can fill up, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. The parking lot is located about 150 feet away from the hotel, requiring a short walk down a one-way street. Breakfast is excellent each day and the staff always accommodating. Good value for the cost.
We frequently visit Nafplio and most of the time we stay at this boutique hotel. It is located right in the heart of the old town, on the main road that leads to the port. The suite is spacious and has a touch of modern and elegant design. The bed is super comfortable. Breakfast is served at the restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel, which is owned by the hoteliers. By the way, this restaurant is one of the best in Nafplio and i suggest you try it.
Excellent location and place to stay. The appartment has everything a family needs, even books for children. We also loved the view to the port! It is located in the heart of nauplio everything was easy to reach. Nauplio is one of the most beatifull cities in greece and very friendly to families with kids. We loved our stay in aggeliki's place and for sure we are going to visit you soon! Thank you for everything!
This was the perfect way to spend our last weekend in Greece. A quiet and cozy getaway from the hubbub of Athens and the islands. The hotel location was perfect, the staff provided fabulous recommendations for meals and activities (including a local jeweler because they noticed the rings on my fingers that were similar in style!). Perhaps most importantly to me - the breakfast in bed was dreamy and filling.
This was one of my best stays in Greece. Except Nafplio, which is an amazing city, I will always remember this apartment. Beeeeeautiful, nice decorated, fully equipped, clean, comfy bed, perfect terrace for chill in the evening. The host was amazing who help us and explain everything. plenty of supermarkets and bakeries around. Quiet and nice neighborhood. Highly recommended, you will enjoy!
A Newer clean facility. It was a 5minute drive from the harbor of Nafplion. You will probably need a car. The location is pleasant and private. the breakfast was really good and the owners were friendly and helpful. Google maps takes you to the wrong address, so make sure you enter the actual address of the hotel into google maps, and not just the hotel name.
Amaila Hotels are amazing, I have stayed at their other locations in Olympia and Delphi before, and I am never disappointed with my stays. The location in Nafplio is amazing, as the staff was friendly, the breakfast was tasty and the grounds were kept clean.
I recommend staying at any of their locations within Greece, you will truly enjoy your time.
The fact that it was a detached house with his own garden, off road parking space and in the house ALL what you needed to feel home as devices to make cold coffee (necessary in Greece), a recyclable bag for shopping, an office desk, Netflix and everything else you could imagine.
Lovely little boutique hotel very close to the historic quarter of beautiful Nafplio. Decor gorgeous. Room tastefully furnished. Very funky TV hidden behind a grand mirror. Lovely toiletries. Courteous, friendly and welcoming staff. Lovely breakfast.
Basic from A to Z. Dated hotel which "tries" to present itself as boutique hotel but its still far from being one. Staff of ok, breakfast was ok. Overall a mediocre hotel at a convenient location for visiting the city of Nafplion.
Clean, simple hotel only a few minutes walk from the old town, excellent value. Nice small balcony with a view to one side of the castle, quiet location. I'm still getting used to firm beds in Greece, but I slept well.
we had a wonderful time at Aetoma Hotel, everything was clean, cute and the service was exceptionnal. The Hotel is very well located, near the beach, near the Palamidi Castle, near the waterfront.
the hotel is in a great place in the old city of nafplio, the room is gorgeous with amazing view
there is a free parking place near
very close to the castle
