This hotel is, indeed, its own little oasis - it is modest outside, but once inside the compound it is beautifully laid out. The pool is clean and crisp, the gardens lovely, and each block has its own roof terrace. There are plenty of outbound activities that the manager can arrange (camels etc) but we did not have time.
The hotel is ideally located on the outskirts of the desert, in the heart of the palm grove of Zagora. Come and enjoy an exceptional setting in the shade of palm trees

As a group of 7 people we had the place to ourselves. Lots of parking out the front of the hotel. Our room was huge, bathroom was a good size and even a balcony overlooking the desert.
We asked about dinner and we're offered a tagine for all of us. It was fantastic, lots of flavour and none of us were disappointed.
The next morning we had a phenomenal breakfast, the food just kept coming and it was all really good.

It was a nice re-encounter. We were here for the first time some 30 years ago. The hotel has retained its character and the staff is just as friendly as we remember it. What a pleasant place!
Set in the palm grove of Zagora, the Riad is next to the sand dunes. Riad Tagmadarte Ferme d'Hôte offers double rooms and bungalows.

Excellent value for money. All the extras worked in our room. Aircon, fridge, TV and we had hot water on demand.. A lot of attention had been paid to the ceiling on building. Our patio was screened by vegetation from our neighbours giving us semi private outside space. The area was tranquil. Loads of birdlife. Next to some sand dunes. Food was good and reasonably priced. No one was in your face trying to add extra value to your stay. Best of all secure parking for the motorbike

No decent size shops not even a proper supermarket eg Carrefour. Can be difficult if not speak French or Arabic . Lots of beggars and sad sights like a man scavenging in bins. Dry and hot and dusty. No local bus services . Pedestrian crossings are ignored. Feels like the back of beyond lots of rubbish

Zagora is the gate to the Sahara desert.
Zagora is the gate to the Sahara desert. The village itself has a lot of nice bars, restaurants and hotels, and is the starting point for guided tours in the desert, all or not on a dromedary, all or not with an overnight stay in tent camps, for 1 or more days. Next to that, Zagora has twice a week a very big local market (Wednesday and Sunday) that is a must to experience! Further down the N9 you can find the small town Tamegroute, famous for its artisanal green pottery. Also a must to stop there and see the 7 families at work outside.
Oasis Tilogui is a medium seized walled off place so when you enter it feels a bit like a vacation village but the facilities are great and the cabins spacious and comfortable. You have your own roof terrace overlooking the desert and the staff is friendly and attentive. You are around 10 km from Zagora; the kitchen is great and offers standard Moroccan dishes. Breakfast was healthy with fresh fruit and yoghurt, a welcome change from the good but heavy standard breakfasts typically served in the riads..
Amazing stay at the Dromadaire. It has more of a guest house vibe than a hotel. Spacious apartment with an en suite bathroom, a cute little balcony looking on the main street of Zagora, and a delicious breakfast served in the restaurant downstairs.
The owner mr Mustafa and his son Redwane took real good care of us and gave us excellent tips on things to do and see. We discovered hidden gems in the Kasba and learned so much thanks to mr Mustafa who had such interesting stories to tell.
Highly recommend.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Stayed there on route. Room was a nice size with a comfy bed. The balcony is small but overlooked the pool. The room has Air conditioning and a flat screen television. Bathroom was nice size. Evening meal was good with wines both locally manufactured and imported available. Room was very clean. Breakfast the following morning was good and a variety of different foods are brought to your table.
This is a great place to stay. The riad's property feels like an oasis from the hear with its beautiful garden and pool. The riad is elegant with very large rooms and comfortable bed / linens etc. Its in a quiet area with small sandy walking lanes that feel like old Morocco. I would eagerly use this as a destination to spend a few days resting on an extended trip.
There are rare times when you are welcomed to your hotel/riad/dar/wherever you’re staying and it feels like you’re being welcomed home. This is one of those cases.
Asaad and Omar are kind, warm, and incredibly welcoming in an authentic way. And they are willing to accommodate whatever you need. It was great to get to stay here and I would recommend it to anyone.
Perfect location if you have your own car. Easy to locate and safe to park. Nice walks in the palm tree gardens and old center of Amezrou around the hotel.
Staff very friendly and helpful. The food is outstanding. Good WiFi and sat TV. We stayed two more nights making this our base camp for excursions... it was too lovely to leave. Extremely relaxing paradise.
Beautifully situated in the middle of the Amazrou Palmeraie, the hotel is peaceful and surrounded by greenery and flowers. The two swimming pools were wonderful and the rooms comfortable. The evening meal was absolutely delicious and lived up to its reputation - we had read several very positive reviews. A lovely place to stay when in Zagora.
To me this hotel was not a hotel, it was like coming back home to see a long lost family!!! The owner Samir was like a brother, we will seat outside of his hotel door step and chat our way through life. I don't have words to describe my happiness in this place. Will find any excuse to come back to Zagora so I can stay again in this hotel.
The food was amazing both dinner and breakfast were the best we had during 2 weeks in Morocco , the room is spacious, and comfortable. It needs to improve the facility in the bathroom but thanks to the wonderful staff and great food, I will give a 10. Nothing else to compare after a dessert trip.
Great place to stay, absolutely calm while still being close to the center (5min walk) and very comfortable place and rooms. Feels like home. And the owner and his family are absolutely lovely and will take care super good care of you! Whenever im in Zagora I will always stay there
Everything about our stay was perfect! Really liked the breakfast, pool, garden and common areas. Felt like home and not like we're staying at a hotel. A piece of heaven!
Staff's really nice and friendly. The trip in the desert (Erg chegaga) with Yaya was no short of amazing.
Beautiful hotel. Mixture of traditional and modern Moroccan decoration. Wonderful garden and pool area. Very good value and a great place before, or after, going into the desert. Great food in the restaurant. Highly recommended.
The place is beautiful, the people are kind, and the food is amazing. Honestly the best bread I have had in Morocco in over 2 weeks of being here. The food also was the most flavorful. 👌
Very hospitable with welcome snacks and drinks. The hotel has 2 rooms on the ground floor which suited us fine. The owner and his long-term resident were very friendly and helpful.
The best place to stay in zagora, good staf good price and good localisation.
And the food was wxcellent.
Thank you

Beautiful property, awesome food, perfect pool, super helpful staff, AND they do very reasonably priced trips out to Erg Chigaga — one stop shop in Zagora!
