The room on the first night was awful. It was on the 1st floor, smelled smoke and there was so much noise from outside and the inside of the hotel. i complained in the morning, they said on the phone they were fully booked and could not help. I went to the reception and complained again and asked them to make amends. I left to have breakfast outside. I would never have breakfast there after the room I had. While I was having my coffee they called me back and offered a better room at the 5th floor. Too expensive for what it offers.

We loved the whole experience of staying at Daios. The hotel is in an excellent location and the view from our executive Seaview room was fabulous, we could even see Mount Olympus complete with snow still on top. The way the balcony was gave the impression of being on a cruise ship. The room(502) and bathroom was quite spacious and well thought out. The bed was big and very comfortable. The cute chocolates put in the room each day was a lovely little touch.
The breakfast was great with plenty of choice.

Situated in the region of Central Macedonia, Thessaloniki is the 2nd largest city in Greece and a precious cultural centre. Built near the sea, this modern metropolis used to be the crossroads between east and west, and houses some of the most amazing Byzantine and Ottoman monuments.
This lively city is full of large avenues, green squares, stunning Neo-Classical buildings and stylish shops. The White Tower of Thessaloniki is an imposing landmark on the waterfront and is the symbol of the city - a reminder of old times.
Visit sophisticated Thessaloniki, and you will have the chance to meet some of the most important Greek artists and musicians. The city has also an energetic nightlife featuring a number of clubs, bars or 'bouzoukia'.
Famous for the traditional taverns, restaurants and 'ouzeries', the Ladadika neighbourhood is the old Jewish quarter, filled with picturesque narrow streets. It is an ideal place to try some famous Macedonian specialities like bougatsa, souvlaki, and the delicious 'Panorama triangles'.
Thessaloniki International Airport is located about 15 km away from the city centre, and is the second busiest airport in Greece. Booking.com offers a big selection of hotels, apartments and guest houses throughout the city.
One of my favorite towns in Greece. Recommend the old harbor area for dinner and Valeoritou area for drinks.
People should find a parking spot so to avoid the traffic and the endless drive around looking for a place to park the car. The city center is not so big so everyone can walk on foot.
Truly recommend the small bakeries for breakfast.

Thessaloniki, a city rich in history and culture.
Thessaloniki, a city rich in history and culture.
The city’s charm lies in its vibrant neighborhoods, historical landmarks, and delightful culinary scene.
My favorite spots included the iconic White Tower with its surroundings and the bustling Aristotelous Square. Both places are teeming with life and offer a glimpse into the city’s vibrant culture. I also recommend taking a bus to Ano Poli, a historic part of the city that offers stunning views and a glimpse into the city’s past. For beach lovers, a bus ride to Kalamaria is a must. The serene beach and the calming sea breeze make for a perfect day trip.
The culinary scene in Thessaloniki is a gastronomic delight. I particularly enjoyed dining in the bohemian part of the city, Ladadika. The area offers a great choice of food accompanied by live music, making every meal a memorable experience.
Getting around Thessaloniki was surprisingly easy. If you’re located near the city center, most places of interest are within a short walk. For longer distances, the city’s bus system is efficient and easy to navigate, especially with the help of the Moovit app.
In conclusion, Thessaloniki is a city that beautifully blends history, culture, and modernity. Whether you’re a history buff, a foodie, or a beach lover, Thessaloniki has something to offer for everyone.
This city holds a special place in my heart, and I find myself returning to it time and again.

The waterfront was very windy so I stopped at Aristoteles square. The square was nothing special.
The high point for me was discovering a little street by the name of Tositsa where there was a selection of antique shops. I bought a tiny oil painting from a nice Greek antique dealer.
The Kapani market which covers city blocks right in the downtown area was interesting.
Forget souvenir shops. Buy authentic Greek specialties from local stores for your friends and family back home.
And don’t bother trying to find a mailbox. Postage stamps and posting of cards and letters must be done at the post office. Exception: one large yellow post box at the entrance to the security lanes in the airport.

Beautiful city was excellent, many reasonably-priced, restaurants. The many bars and cafes and outdoor seating are among the best of any city. The location on the sea and its many museums and churches provided lots to do. We took a day-long excursion to Meteora that I would highly recommend; with longer stays we could have also gone to Philip's tomb and other historical places easily. The core of the city is small enough you don't have to use public transportation, and access to airport is good. The city seems much more neighborly, friendly and safe than Athens.
The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. It was well situated for our purpose which was to get to Lefkada.
We spent two nights here a few days apart.
On the first night we came after a 12 hour drive and there are some restaurants within 10minutes with the car. The second time we wanted to also visit Thessaloniki so we took a taxi from the hotel(there is a problem with parking spaces in the city) and back( around 12euro per trip).
We really liked the location of the hotel because it is near the city center. The beds were very comfortable and it was clean in the whole apartment. The coffee machine was a great advantage for us. We also had great communication with the owners of the hotel. When we go to Thessaloniki again, we will certainly stay at this hotel again.
Friendly people at the desk.
It once was a very nice hotel, I guess, beautiful inside and outside. To keep it like that would require renovation and more maintenance. Now I found it just okay. So, all in all, I would say that it is very nice that there is in Thessaloniki a cheap hotel with a nice past which now is just okay.
The Staff would put Thessaloniki on the tourist map; eagerly helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing: plentiful and delicious. Great coffee. Lunch also very good and creative. Location very central, but very very crowded on weekend nights, prowl through the crowds in the pedestrian alley to get to the hotel.
Everything was perfect. The hotel is brand new.
Staff perfect facilities also. Beds so comfortable, and room facilities also.
It deserves more then 10.
For sure i would come back and also i will suggest to everyone who would like to visit Thesaloniki. It is the best 5 star hotel in the area.
Thank you
Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was great and the spa, even though it's small, is a very nice bonus. Another nice fact is that children are allowed in the spa, which for us as a family was great.
The hotel is situated close to a lot of the main attractions in Thessaloniki city.
The hotel was great. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The neighborhood adjacent to the hotel wasn't the greatest and we probably wouldn't walk around there at night. But it's a quick cab ride to Thessaloniki's downtown.
Plenty of free parking on the street.
Best location in Town. Everybody should take the Baby-Potato’s or the Omelett. Breakfast was delicious. The staff is very competent and polite. We liked our stay because of the Hotel very much. Thank you Thessaloniki, thank you Excelsior Hotel. See you soon! 🙌😀
The appartment is modern, well equipped with perfect sea view, with plenty of room, with delicated furnishment in a nice location in the centre of the city. Nothing is missing to make your life pleasant and easy. Service equal to 5 stars hotel
A nice boutique hotel located in Thessaloniki city center. Accommodating, friendly and helpful personal. Good location, close to various attractions, sights, restaurants etc. Modern and comfortable room.
The hotel has a good location, the room was clean and the people were always nice with us :) If I travel again to Thessaloniki in the future then I will stay here again, I can recommend this place.
Great room view, clean and close to the city center, just 15 min walk from the riviera. It was my second time in the hotel and I'll definitely come back next time when in Thessaloniki.
