The room size was good, pool side was great, but bar and food too expensive, you get more ice than the drink, free shuttle were great and that you could use next door facilities, the DJ on the Sunday was fab, great music played, makes a difference if your poolside for the day

First and foremost, we were welcomed by the lovely Olga (receptionist) who was highly attentive and detail oriented. She made us feel like VIP guests! She showed us around the property and then to our room. Everything was pristine and serene. We felt right at home immediately!

Breakfast: Different menu options each day and it's made to order for you once you take your seat in the lovely, lush garden. Ana and Anielka were on staff in the kitchen and were very kind and quick to make our food. The ingredients were fresh with lots of yummy fruit options!

Key West is a gem of an island in the Florida Keys, popular with pleasure seekers and history buffs alike. As the most southern destination in the continental United States, Key West has a fascinating history, dating back to its settlement by Spanish explorers in the 16th century.
Today this little island off the coast of Florida attracts over a million cruise visitors a year through the Port of Key West. Visitors come to see Hemingway House, where Ernest Hemingway penned ‘A Farewell to Arms’. Key West Cemetery provides a unique walk through the multicultural past of the city. There are also trolley rides through the historic district of Jackson Square.
There’s more than just history to Key West, however. Smathers Beach is a place to have fun in the sun, while Mallory Square provides the chance to shop and watch a magnificent sunset. The excellent bus system helps you get around the island without a car.
Key West International Airport is a mere 6 kilometres to Duval Street, the heart of the city centre and a good place to stay for easily exploring the nearby sites. With accommodation ranging from resorts to B&Bs, Booking.com helps you get the best stay for the best price in Key West!

You'll never be disappointed in key west for the night life, sunsets, and shops. It's a historical city, so don't expect any modern or touristy things like amusement and water parks - just a great experience at the southermost point of the continental US.

Duval street has your abundance of souvenir shops, along with some nice boutiques and art galleries (which I recommend going into all the art shops). Blue Heaven restaurant is a must for breakfast, specifically the lobster eggs Benedict. For dinner with a bit more ambiance try Martins and Cafe Marquesa the food was fabulous. The butterfly conservatory, the lighthouse and Hemingway house were all great and would recommend. We also did a sunset cruise with Sunset Waterspouts and it was soo much fun.

Cruise Ship Terminal had ended the previous unique remote island lifestyle. Gift Shops with T-Shirts, Crowded Sidewalks of Tourists too Bored to Stay on Ship and Lacking Businesses to Contain their Flip-Flop Sea-Sickness Mind Hive. Cheap Buzz. Locals of former fame are now long gone. I came, I saw, and on no occasion do I desire a repeat. "Another Saturday Night and I ain't got No Money," has Transitioned into the worst "Sunday Morning Coming Down":(

We loved the sunset at Mallory Square, Hemingway House, Aqua Drag show, entertainment at Lateda and so much more. Stay in a central location (we were on Olivia Street) and you can walk everywhere. Dress casually and stay cool because it is very hot and humid, but gorgeous.

Key West is gorgeous and rich with history.
Key West is gorgeous and rich with history. I would call it less of a conventional beach town, as the beaches are sparse and man made because of the whole island thing. If you love the water then this is the place. Boats, jet skis, snorkeling and more are all available for you to enjoy and Duval Street is full of shopping, restaurants and bars. There are some very unique vendors with one of a kind items and lots of art appreciation from the locals. The beach stores are a little over priced on some of their beach wares, which is typical, but there is no shortage of cute and original boutiques. Rent a scooter or a golf cart when you get there. It is the best way to travel while you are there.
Sweet little room in an old Key West house, within walking distance from Duval street. Luckily parking lot next to the house. We should have had the breakfast included in the reservation, but nobody informed us about that, probably they forgot about that. The hotel has a lot of houses spread overall. Our house had 3 rooms, our was directly next to the entrance door. We’ve heard everything, since the door had a small opening below. The bathroom is really tiny. There is a coffee machine, a microwave and a fridge in the room.
Cute and lovingly designed hotel in the heart of Key West. Patrick welcomed us with a glass of wine and showed us this gem. Our room had tropical charm. Everything felt very authentic. Nevertheless, there was no lack of comfort. We slept like logs. There was a Nespresso machine in the room instead of those terrible cheap American coffee machines - a little culture can be so easy! :) At breakfast you had to be careful of a free-range chicken. It was a bit cheeky. We‘d love to come back!
Good air conditioning. Nice big fairly comfortable bed although it was very high up! (I’m 5’3 and had to jump up lol). Balcony is a nice place to sit looking into the small but stunning garden and pool. Pool towels are available at no extra cost. Good location close to most things in key west. Clean property which seems hard to come by!
Also got free parking, car park is situated on a separate road but is only a few minutes walk away from the hotel.
The place is a great Oas in the center of Key West, walking distance to all the sights and restaurants.
The pool is amazing and the staff is world class, they helped us with everything and we felt very welcomed with our 14 month old baby! They all made sure that we had the best possible stay! Also appreciated was the happy hour at 5!
Parking garage was also a bonus!
Thanks Truman Hotel & Staff! We will be back someday
The staff were super friendly. It felt like being at home. The vibe of the place was like staying at your home; and the front-door lady seemed that she cared about you as a person. At the beginning, she showed us all the best areas in the key west. I never had an experience of staying in a hotel where the staff showed me how to use the sona, but the lady at this place truly was nice and cared about our experience-
The hotel was in the perfect place. It was such a short walk to Duval street, and all other touristy places, but it was also in a quiet location and was such a peaceful location for later in the night when we were ready to retire for the night. The room was so spacious and clean. Out of all the hotels I’ve ever been in, this is BY FAR the best hotel and I will never stay anywhere else when visiting Key West.
Well maintained common area with heated pool and area to eat the complimentary breakfast. Held our baggage on day of departure until we were ready to leave. Short walk to everything we like in Key West. Check out the beach at Fort Zachary Taylor which is a short walk from the hotel and in my opinion the best beach in Key West, if a cruise ship is in port they sail out right by the beach when they leave.
Beautiful hotel in the heart of Key West in an old building. We got a separate room Sunset. Stylish, spacious enough, with 2 balconies. Great breakfast included in the price on the patio (looks like being in Asia) with a fat cat). Parking is offered in a city parking lot 15 minutes walk for $ 15 per day. Central street 3 minutes walk. Lots of photo locations.
We hadnt been back to Key West in a while, and we really lucked out by discovering and booking this quaint little place. great location, great staff, clean, and best of all within walking distance to most old town attractions like Duval and Mallory Square. Hotel kept in touch with us for several months prior to our stay.
The hotel was great. It was super clean, modern and had a lovely pool. The staff were awesome and we loved the salty oyster bar. We liked that it was quiet and out of the busyness of downtown key west though we really appreciated the shuttle bus that ran every 30 mins to and from downtown.
Following our recent stay at The Gardens Hotel in Key West, we would like to express our satisfaction with its style, decoration, good taste in every detail, as well as the efficiency and friendlyness of all the staff. We strongly recommend it and hope to visit it again.
Leo, Jason,Seth, and Kate the bartenders were all awesome!! The room key bracelets are a fantastic idea! Luann, Johnny, and Bob the shuttle drivers were all cool too. They taught us a lot about Key West just on the drives to and from the hotel.
The room was wonderful, every room was pool side. The restaurant and the bar were always delicious and lovely. The staff was so responsive and helpful! There was a great hotel shuttle into Key West and back to the hotel again all day!
The rooms, cleanliness and hotel grounds are beautiful. Rooftop pool was a welcomed respite and great place to unwind from the key west bar scene. Perfect wedding anniversary getaway a very romantic hotel.
Older motel/hotel. Some nice common spaces, roof, patio, and other small spaces. Location was good not great. Price was high but everything in Key West is expensive, at least for accommodations.
It was ok and one of the cheapest around that area. Check in and out was quick and easy. Breakfast was tasty. Free shuttle bus going to the heart of Key West and the beach every 30 min or so.
Love key west town will go cone back. The hotel was located well from people who aren't afraid to walk a little. Quiet, close to the beach, and staff is very responsive. Good breakfast 😋
