The owner were really friendly and helpful. They contacted us before the arrival to make sure we have everything we need for our trip. Rooms a really quiet and the bed confortables . The hotel is well located, only few minutes away from the center. The breakfast was tasty with a good selection of homemade products

Offering barbecue facilities and mountain view, Quinta do Fojo Valonguinho, Barrô is situated in Barrô, 16 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary and 19 km from Douro Museum. Everything was prepared when we arrived up the step road. We had a small car so for us everything was ok but if you have a massive sedan or suv you might not fit through the gate or be able to park easily as this is located on the hillside. But my god how beautiful location this is. The pictures really does show the beauty of this location. Our hostess fixed a lovely dinner with cheese and chauteriy board as couvert and pork potatoes and tomato sallad for main with a lovely red wine to go with it. Breakfast was also lovely with her own made jams and fruits picked from her own garden. All in all a perfect stay. Would recommend this quiet small place to anyone who wants tranquility and a warm welcome from the hostess.

Featuring mountain views, Casa dos 4 Caminhos - Guest House Douro features accommodation with patio, around 1.3 km from Douro Museum. Wonderful guest house with all of the amenities you could ask for. Marco and Joana are friendly, helpful and accommodating hosts. We can't recommend this accommodation more for a long weekend in the Douro Valley, off-street and secure parking was another huge bonus!

Zimão Garden House is located in Vila Real, 30 km from Natur Waterpark, 31 km from Golf Course Vidago Palace, and 43 km from Douro Museum. The house is like a small castle, but very tidy and comfortable. The owner is so nice. There are many well thought out details, which make the stay even more pleasant.

Casa do Arco by Douro Exclusive in São Cristóvão do Douro provides adults-only accommodation with a bar and a shared lounge. We had the most fantastic stay at Casa do Arco, and it really did exceed our expectations. The staff were all so welcoming, and Marco and Ana had thought about every little detail. We would love to stay here again in the future!

Set within 4.6 km of Douro Museum and 10 km of Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, Golden Mirror features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Lamego. Incredible view, so peaceful, beautiful, clean, tasteful, super clean and comfortable. The staff is so incredibly nice and helpful, with amazing breakfast. 10/10 highly recommend to anyone staying in the Duoro valley and we will stay here again when we return. Thank you!

Located in Pala and only 42 km from Douro Museum, Portovella Lodges & Bungalows provides accommodation with river views, free WiFi and free private parking. Everything!!! our apartment was stunning! we had two separate bedrooms and a double sofa bed in the living room. the rooms were spotlessly clean! the pool is gorgeous and the views breathtaking. the breakfast is everything the other reviews said and more! one of our children is coeliac and they provided an excellent range of products that varied each morning… this was so important to us! we didn’t bring a car and we were able to arrange a taxi to the nearest supermarket for €35 return! This is a great option if you wish to get the train to Pala station which is only 5min walk from the property (but steep and stepped so not great for anyone with accessibility issues) and was wayyyy cheaper than €1400 we were quoted for a car for the week! The train runs from Porto.
