Keep in mind I love to camp and this provided that experience including a lack of electricity, Wi-Fi, campfire, common kitchen, and a beautiful host family.

Beinn Shieldaig Yurt ligger i Shieldaig och erbjuder en trädgård och en terrass. Sheildag is a gem if a location. It is a long drive to Skye but we made it work. This was truly a unique stay. Loved building a fire and sleeping next to a field of sheep. Plus the glen water running stream is very calming. Just a cool place.

They had some unexpected issues with the dome but were incredibly proactive with informing us and relocating us into different accommodation at no expense to ourselves. Very friendly hosts, immaculate accommodation, and a lovely setting for a getaway to Glasgow. 10/10 would recommend

If you like special locations, beautiful views, a cozy fire outside and a wonderful bed, this is the place for you! Everything was beautiful about this location and the welcome more than warm. We will definitely come back here again.

Birkenshaw - Beautiful Shepherd’s Hut in the Highlands. Erbjuder en trädgård och utsikt över havet och ligger i Dornoch, 7,6 km från Carnegie Club Skibo Castle och 8 km från Royal Dornoch Golf Club. One of the loveliest and most relaxing stays we have had on our year long world round trip! The hut is so cozy and you feel absolutely at peace and at one with nature sitting on the hammock out the back! Could not recommend higher!

The Kites Rest at Castle Creavie Farm erbjuder boende i Kirkcudbright, 45 km från Dumfries and County Golf Club. We spent a couple of nights staying in the Kite’s Rest… Absolutely great place to stay with great hosts who were extremely helpful and great to chat away to :-) The setting is perfect; quiet, great views and loads of space. We had glorious weather so made use of the BBQ and sat out on the decking area morning and night! We thoroughly enjoyed our time - Thanks!

The location was great - very peaceful and lots of "extras" such as fire pits and an honesty trailer where you could borrow or buy items needed. Also, the host Kevin was excellent, extremely informative regarding the area and whatever we might need.
