The woman on afternoon reception was brilliant. Made us feel very welcome and provided lots of advice and tips (map) on places to eat etc. Room was clean and comfortable with good quality towels and bed linen - great after a hard day's walking! Location close to Camino.

This was such a treat whilst walking the Camino. Nestled in the Galician countryside, so beautiful. The receptionist was a local , full of interesting information, and suggestions for our days rest. The thermal spa was great and the hot stone massage was the best we’d ever had.

The hotel is stunning, the staff's attitude is amazing. Since the hotel is far away and I walk the Camino, the owner of the hotel came to pick me up in his car and brought me back the next day. Dinner was specially prepared for me according to a menu I discussed with the chef. The breakfast is rich and varied. The rooms are so beautiful that you just have to come

The hostess was very considerate and thoughtful. The location is near the pilgrimage route and there is a large garden. After we checked in, the hostess prepared milk, ice water and fruit for us, and told us that we could use the washing machine to wash clothes. The room was fully equipped, clean, quiet and comfortable. Seeing that we brought a puppy, not only did she not charge any fees, but she also sent a new dog bed, bowls and snacks, and told us the address of the supermarket. She was like a good friend. Thank you! Highly recommended!

The facilities, the owners, the food are all very nice. The owners are especially welcoming and fun to be with.
HORRIBLE HOTEL. INFESTED WITH BED BUGS AND NO HEATER IN ROOM. AWFUL SERVICE. NO ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE IN TIMES OF NEED. DISGRACE TO THE CITY. HOPE THE CITY SHUTS THIS HOTEL DOWN.
WHEN YOU CALL THE FRONT DESK, THERE IS NO ONE AVAILABLE AND WHEN YOU CALL ON THE CELL PHONE, THEY SAY HEATER IS BROKEN OR MUNCIPALITY DOES NOT ALLOW HEATERS TO BE TURND ON IN ROOMS.

Of all our stops on the Camino from Sarria to here (...
Of all our stops on the Camino from Sarria to here (currently in Melide), Palas de Rei was the least interesting or exciting. Still, it had hidden gems in a hostal we found to eat dinner (there are not a lot of options) and returned for breakfast on our way out. Also, the laundry mat was a big plus and the driers worked really well. Dried a lot of clothes for 3 euros. Just have to ask around for change. The bar next door and the grocery store behind were so helpful.

A great place to stay, relax , have a well earned siesta after long walk from Portmarin 24.6 kms + Probably quieter in October when we visited but still found a good restaurant "Meson a Forxa" and had a delicious meal after 7 - early for Spanish but filled up rapidly . Lots of Camino walkers took break here.

Restaurants are very good and reasonably priced. 10 euros are enough for a person per day to be happy and even to try a milk sucking lamb baked in owen.

Small interesting town on the camino trail route (St James), not a lot to see but a good selection of bars and restaurants.
A few shops selling all sorts of things, so you could find what you need if required.
The hosts Mario, Belen, and their son Edu are very friendly. Belen drove us to the city center to go to the pharmacy and the bank. We even went to the grocery store with her. They treated us like a family. They went above and beyond customer service. They helped my friend who needed to see a Dr. They called a taxi and had advised the best place to see a Dr. Also, they helped us find the place where to stay after we made an error in booking the hotel next town.
Patricia and the staff were kind and welcoming. The dinner menu at their restaurant was one of the best meals we had while in Spain. The care and attention to detail shows. Would highly recommend.
The only down side is that we booked this while walking the Camino Frances and it added 5km to an already long walking day in the heat. Just be aware when booking for your Camino. But it is worth the stay!
Comfortable Pension on the Camino de Santiago. Host was very accommodating. We had a comfortable room with private bath on the second level. There's a small kitchen with complementary tea/coffee. A lovely patio, with seating as well as an area for washing clothes if needed (washer and dryer also available on third level, 4 euros each).
The buildings and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The courtyard is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. The location is very close to the Camino de Santiago. The dining area and bar are well designed and inviting.
Our room and bathroom were large, clean and comfortable.
A really lovely little hotel. All was new and super clean. Our room on the top floor was large and airy. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and recommended a near by restaurant which was very good. The delicious breakfast consisted of locally sourced / organic ingredients.
We were picked up right away for the hotel, the hotel was in a very rural and beautiful environment, the room was clean, comfortable, and well-furnished with a beautiful view of the outside. The breakfast was the highlight of our day - excellent coffee, bread, cheese and ham.
Lovely Pension/Hotel- very easy to find, Modern and clean facilities, my room was a good size with a powerful shower. The host was very helpful. Central location and very easy to find my way back on the Camino route the next morning.
Beautifully restored and up-kept property. staff is amazing and attentive. Best nights sleep I’ve had after 6 weeks in Spain. Gorgeous comfortable bed and peacefully quiet. I wish I had stayed more than one night. I will next time.
Excellent hosts - great, individual and exclusive location! Very good dinner and breakfast. it is my third camino and this is one of the best hotels with outstanding hosts. And they have by far the best Santiago cake - home made ;)!
The location and setting of this lovely farmhouse was perfect for our night on the Camino. It is family run and so it felt like home away from home. They served us the best meals that we ate during our entire time in Spain!
I was walking the Camino and the hotel was easy to locate, near good restaurants, had a kitchen where I could make tea, use refrigerator etc. The lady who checked me in was very pleasant and helpful.
Property right on Camino de Santiago.
Felt like being at home.
Could wander from dining room, to living room with fireplace and music, to sitting room with two walls of windows and reclining chairs.
