A wonderful almost hidden gem, the whole town is a living museum full of lovely historic buildings by chance exactly as they were hundreds of years ago. We continue to be amazed at the sights within the town. Troyes is well worth a visit, ideally 3-4 days. Lots of historical buildings, streets to see. Some lovely shops, bars and restaurants. Easy to walk around. We found a bar / restaurant called Tante Reine which had a very relaxed atmosphere

It's a busy town, but our host gave clear instructions to...
It's a busy town, but our host gave clear instructions to find free parking within a five minute walk. This property is right in the historic heart of Troyes, so you really get a feel for the place. The architecture is stunning - tall timber framed merchant houses, and some other stone built elegant structures too. With just a one night stay, and a ferry to catch the following day, we had nowhere near enough time to appreciate it - and no time to visit any of the amazing churches. We need to come again to enjoy it all properly. We ate at a popular grill restaurant in one of the old timber-framed buildings. It was buzzing and busy, but they fitted us in. Troyes is a fantastic, friendly, safe city. Easy to walk everywhere and so much to see and do a few days is not enough.The museums, medieval houses, churches are fascinating .It is like walking into history. Don't forget to visit the Mediatheque, the collection of ancient books is amazing.After an afternoon of exploring try one of the many cafes for something yummy to eat. Then take a night stroll down to the canal to see Troyes lit up at night!!Jones

This apartment is fantastic for an overnight stop over driving to the South of France. in fact I would happily spend a few nights here whilst visiting the incredible city of Troyes. main bedroom is a good size, super comfy bed. our teenage daughter slept on the very comfy sofa bed in lounge so felt like she had her own room. wonderful to have the great kitchen, washing machine, microwave etc. Thoroughly recommend. 10 minute walk to main part of town and an extraordinarily beautiful walk at that.amandaUnited Kingdom

There’s even a small coffee machine for when the kids wake you up before the boulangeries are open! It is very central: the ‘main drag’ of restaurants are barely five minutes away. Secure underground parking at l’Hôtel de Ville is a very short walk away.
