A little worn-out but well complemented by the boutique charm and the fine small touches. The bed was very comfortable. Choices of soft and firm pillows. The coffee in the room was surprisingly good! The staff were wonderful and breakfast was huge.

The hotel was located within easy walking distance of shops and city centre. The breakfast was very nice and prepared to a high quality. Definately would reccommend the breakfast.

The centre of Windsor is a charming mix of old and new. Walking through its lovely streets, you’ll find many small shops, cosy cafes, and excellent restaurants. The impressive Windsor Castle stands out in the town. Beautiful parks and riverside paths offer quiet, relaxing places. Windsor’s history and modern conveniences make it a wonderful place to visit.

Windsor is a very beautiful place to visit and we would definitely recommend going when the Windsor Horse Show is on (even if you're not an equestrian). A visit to the castle is a must.
If you stay just outside of Windsor you can find very reasonable priced accommodation. We stayed approximately a 10 min walk away from the centre.
Windsor is also just a 30 min train ride into London too! We did a day in London when we went to Windsor in May 2024

Was very disappointed. Booked a room about 9 months ago. It was so small that we both couldn’t get dressed in the room together! The price we paid, we expected better facilities! Reception was disorganised and the breakfast was chaotic! Didn’t even get a clean table to sit and eat !
Premier Inn is better than this hotel!
No lifts to our rooms nor any help provided to climb two stairs with our luggage!
Not worth the money you paid!

Windsor is very attractive, beautiful buildings, the castle is fabulous and ever present as you go about the city. We went early in the season( April) and the as the castle isn't open to visitors tues/wed the town / riverside etc was very quiet which was lovely. We were leaving thurs afternoon and visited the castle first thing , we had booked our tickets online which we were very pleased of because of the queues. It was fantastic walking around the staterooms and grounds of the castle- extraordinarily beautiful and very interesting and quite moving to have access to st George's chapel.
Suddenly the streets were heaving with people and school parties.
There are lots of places to eat - mostly chains, but we found an excellent greek restaurant by the river.
We also went on a river cruise which was very pretty and interesting. Everything was very close by. I think 2 days was perfectly adequate time see all windsor has to offer.
The station was right slap bang in the middle of town and even the riverside station was only a ten min walk from town centre. Every where is beautifully kept and clean.

You don’t need much time in Windsor as the only main attraction is the castle. We did lots of walking around the town and went in the castle. On our second day we struggled to find something else to do. But I would recommend the duck tour ! Excellent service and hospitality. Very educational and a great hour out.

Windsor is a lovely town, easy to navigate around , has 2 railway stations with easy access to London.
Ideal place to stay if going to Twickenham for the Rugby.
Lots of shops, pubs and restaurants to cater for all tastes.
A must see is of course St George’s Chapel and Windsor Castle, beautiful walks within the grounds and the Long Walk.
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday you are given a real treat of seeing the parade of changing of the guard a fabulous spectacle.
The location was great for the castle but a lot of noise from side street in the early hours of Sunday from nightclub goers on their way home! The breakfast choice was pretty good and the staff throughout the hotel were very happy and friendly. The room was a nice size with good facilities by way of an iron (have to request in quite a few places now), fridge, robes, coffee machine, etc. We loved being in an end room on the top floor from a noise point of view. Would definitely stay here again when we visit Windsor.
The hotel did not serve breakfast but recommended some places in Windsor. The room was good and clean. It was located at the other end of town but it took only 10-15 minutes to get to where the Castle is. Quite a lot of shops, pubs and cafes to choose from. There is a Chinese call 1623 (or something like that) which was amazing. The hotel is actually a pub - and is a very friendly one. The guy let me sample some of the beers and I enjoyed a pint in there before heading off to look around.
Met by the helpful and friendly host who arranged the parking, handed over the keys and showed us the apartment and facilities. The apartment was clean, spacious with lots of facilities for a self-catering stay, good Wi-Fi and a view of Windsor Castle, perfect for our stay. It was less than 5 mins away from Legoland which was our reason for the visit. Highly recommended for families or couples visiting Legoland / Windsor area. Less than 15 mins from the M4 motorway. Preferred to hotel stay.
The breakfast was good and the restaurant was so relaxing looking out onto the river Thames with so many swans, ducks and geese enjoying breakfast with us!!
Housekeeping did an amazing job as the hotel was spotlessly clean and our room was made up immaculately every morning!
Location was excellent too, right next to the castle and just a short walk to the town.
All the staff were very happy, polite and friendly - always made time to say hello and ask how your day was going.
There are a few reasons to stay at The George Inn. First and foremost, the location. The George Inn is located in the wonderful village of Eton, very close to a pedestrian bridge that connects to the heart of Windsor and Windsor Castle. Second, it was nice staying above The George Inn pub and having a drink & visit before going up to bed. Third, the bedroom and bathroom were a nice size. Finally, the staff was very friendly and helpful.
The room size was excellent and even had a fridge (not always available in continental Europe). It had sufficient space to store our clothes. Our windows were looking out towards the Windsor Castle. Excellent Location - step outside and walk amongst British history. Plenty of Pubs and Resturants nearby. Easy Parking at the Castle Hotel. Breakfast was sufficient. Overall, would again stay for a few nights before leaving from Heathrow
Room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Welcoming friendly staff. Excellent location for walking to the castle, restaurants, shops and the river. We paid for a parking spot at the hotel which was very good value, hassle free and well worth reserving. Good choice for breakfast which was delicious. We loved the room upgrade and complementary drinks at the bar. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant and memorable.
Well located on the edge of Windsor town and about a 10 Minute walk to the Castle. The hotel had old style ambience but well appointed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our Kingsize bedroom was well appointed and very comfortable. A cozy bar, comfortable Lounge and excellent Breakfasts and dinners rounded out a memorable stay. We will most certainly return when next back in Windsor.
The food was really good at the Carvery. A generous complimentary breakfast and dinner the night before was very reasonable. The bus to Windsor old town/castle was right outside the hotel and very convenient. We'd like to give a special shut out to Tina, the receptionist. She was extremely helpful and went beyond her duties to help us out!
The perfect choice for such a lovely location. Located 2 steps away from Windsor Castle, the design of the hotel keeps you in that royal atmosphere. I got upgraded to a lovely suite and got a fruit platter as a welcome note. Bed was incredibly comfortable, bathroom very big. Will return and highly recommend.
Wanted somewhere to stay in Windsor with a friend and our 5 year olds - didn’t want to be split up in hotel rooms. Flat was perfect for the kids to spend time together and a great location for Legoland and Windsor Castle. Really clean and quiet. Host was very responsive to messages. We had a lovely break.
Great food. Reasonably close to Heathrow Airport, including slow (about 40 mins in light traffic), but very cheap, a bus connection that is about a 10 min walk from the Estate (a taxi ride would be much faster). Access to large grounds creates a very different impression than an airport hotel.
Great location and it’s well appointed. Free parking was a plus. Nice space for the family to hang out along with a kitchen balcony. Bathrooms are clean. Walkable to restaurants and Windsor Castle. Comfortable beds. Online Pictures were pretty close to how the property looks.
The reception guy was so so helpful and attentive to all are needs he really was a credit to his hotel well done the hotel is situated on Eton high street a stones thro away from the castle beautiful hotel in a beautiful location and really value for money
Excellent location for Windsor and Eton, great local restaurants all within 10 minute walk. The staff were always on hand to help nothing too much trouble. Would recommend this hotel.
The location was great. Out of the noisy central area but very close to the park and Windsor castle. We had a view of the Castle from our hotel room window.
