The city of Wolverhampton is amazingly only a short and very pleasant, easy 7 mile drive of the inner-ring road, reached through the lovely leafy suburb of Tettenhall. There are numerous museums within a 10 mile radius related to the Black Country. A number of these Museums are 'Living' Museums, depicting life as it was at the time of the Industrial Revolution. Nearby is the RAF Museum at Cosford, and the beautiful village of Much Wenlock which has now been recognised as the birthplace of the Olympic Games model. And all around is the glorious countryside and sights of Shropshire, surely one of the UK's most undervalued counties.

    Lots of places to eat.

Lots of places to eat. Good shopping centre within easy walk of hotel. Need to know your way around a roundabout and ring road the traffic system takes a bit of getting used to. Friendly people in stores although some had problems with my Scots accent and my Scots money. Great breakfast at Gatehouse and its served until Noon so you can have a lie in. Lovely scones in the M&S cafe in the shopping centre.

Extremely filthy place—surroundings are super filthy Owner of property lacks manners, customer service, communication, and super rude. She has no courtesy to speak to us. She has no empathy or sympathy towards humanity!

Wolves is a city I love, people are pleasant, helpful, you can go out safely at night. Multicultural a literal melting pot, just perhaps infrastructure needs updating a bit but I believe this is underway.

Wolverhampton has a bad press but is well worth visiting.

Wolverhampton has a bad press but is well worth visiting. It has some excellent leisure facilities, easy access to a number of tourist attractions and beautiful surrounding countryside. The city centre is easy to get around on foot but the use of a car is preferable. Neighbouring villages have a range of independent coffee shops, restaurants and premium pubs.

We had a great room on the first floor which was fully kitted out with a kitchen, utensils, table, chairs, sofa and private bathroom.. We only stayed one night as we had a gig at k.ks steel mill but this was a perfect location and only a 10 min walk to the venue & city centre. The room was spotless, had a good powerful shower and Jay the manager kept us fully informed. We often visit Wolverhampton so would definitely stay here again.

The staff were helpful and friendly on arrival and they even found me a safety pin to fix my dress for the evening so I can't fault them at all. The room was clean and looked good and the overall look around the hotel was clean and tidy. There was a bar area and it was very close to where my dining event was held. Literally a stones throw away from Wolverhampton Wanderers ground and walking distance to the town center.

I have been to this hotel many times - always my 1st choice when travelling to Wolverhampton. The owner & staff always very friendly - nothing is too much trouble. Good room facilities, comfortable beds, good shower. Excellent choice of breakfast foods & good small restaurant. Good bar selection. There is a large park (West Park) across the road, for walking/running/leisure. Easy access to city centre.

Excellent manager on duty ( Claudia, I think was her name ). She was so helpful with my enquiries about some local services. Made everything comfortable for me at the hotel, explained security arrangements re locking up etc. Organised my breakfast each morning so that I was never waiting around too long etc. The hotel was secure, very well run and comfortable.

Loved the decor inside, quirky and quaint outside. Breakfast real value for money, park close by to walk dog that came with us. Keith was very welcoming and attentive during our stay. Will definitely be back when passing that way again. Much more personal and friendly than hotel chains.

Amazing hotel - the view, presentation of the room/hotel as a whole, breakfast was delicious too. I loved the fact that the gym and pool facilities were free with the hotel! This gave us something to do throughout our trip. Also, city centre is not far from the hotel (10-15 mins away).
