The hosts are two brothers with passion for what they are doing. One of them is staying awake every night downstairs till he ensures that all the hosts are sleeping and they do not his help anymore in any matter. The place is also only 50 meters from supermarket, 100 meters from the beach, and 10 mins away from Milies a very interesting traditional village with a Folklore museum (free without admission), great walking paths in the nature, a beautifull square, do riding in the forest (even for starters) and you can also take a touristic train from Milies to Ano Lechonia (with spectacular views to see). The ticket you can get on board, but then noone can quarantee you that there seats left in high season. We went in May and it was fine. Generally the area has a lot to see, explore and experience. We were 7 days there and we did not feel bored a single moment.

Despite not being not that far from Volos, Kala Nera still maintained a small seaside village feel. The beach had lovely clean water for swimming. Cafes/restaurants were good. On the whole it was very quiet, at night there was little to disturb you.

Kala Nera is a beautiful village.
Kala Nera is a beautiful village. It has a very wide central road with many trees so you can take a walk even during the day. Many hotels and rooms to rent. Many restaurants and shops, mini market and pharmacy. It has a nice organized beach. There are other beaches nearby 10-15 minutes by car. The restaurants offer tsipouro or ouzo with meze (small plates) which means you order the ouzo or tsipouro and they also bring you small plates food no extra charge!! The food in general is cheap. Peaceful and relaxing holidays.

Kala Nera is a beautiful small seaside village.
Kala Nera is a beautiful small seaside village. But if dogs make you nervous it may not suit you, as they lie on the beach or on the streets, but are not a nuisance,in fact we found it rather charming.
The location is perfect, the property is right on the beach. Our studio had mountain view and side sea view. The hosts were very very welcoming and friendly. They gave us all the information we needed about the area, recommended good places for visit and helped us with everything we needed. The studio was spotless clean, they cleaned it every morning, and changed the linen every 3 days. The walking area is right between the property and the beach, there are taverna and cafes near by and market and gift shops.
We loved our stay in this hotel and would come back again. It is close to the beach and restaurants, it is well equipped, has a common kitchen and a beautiful communal garden/ patio (we loved the gardenia), and its owners are very friendly and helpful. The location is great but can be a bit noisy at night with the windows open as it is on the main road. The room was clean and comfortable, and we didn't mind the small bathroom.
Sweet apartment on the beach, this is how we described it to ourselves, and this was the reality! Amazing location, very quiet despite being close to the beach. Comfortable beds, kitchen is equipped perfectly with everything we need. Katherina, the host, was lovely and welcoming. We had a great stay.
The location was amazing, very close to the beach. The house was very convenient and everything was in place, very clean. The host Nikos was very nice and helped with everything
On the Main Street of the village, on the beach, very good restaurant in the hotel. The room was simple but clean and we had everything we needed. The staff is very nice
Owner and his family are very nice and welcoming, room was very clean and comfortable, so I would be glad to return. Very cute hotel indeed. All recommendations!
Location, the sense of having every thing you need at one place. Comfortable in having the beach and great view in front of you. Kind and friendly staff.
