Take a side trip to visit Kourtaliotiko Gorge. There is a trail in the gorge, but we didn't have time for that. So we stopped along the road above and followed the path passed the Church of Saint Nicholas down to a beautiful view of the waterfall.

Plakias is a good place to have a rest moving from Imbras...
Plakias is a good place to have a rest moving from Imbras Gorge to Kourtaliotiko gorge, city is small and quite. Beaches in city itself not seems are extraordinary, they have many rocks, but on the left end is there a nudist beach

Plakias has a nice village feel with nice beach's and plenty of tavernas, supermarket's, bakers and butchers, all within easy walking distance. We found the food at Antoni's Place was excellent and staff very helpful.

Plakias is a smallish town and very laid back and relaxing.
Plakias is a smallish town and very laid back and relaxing. As we were half board we didn't try many of the bars/restaurants on offer. We were going to go on a boat trip but one of our daughters was ill so we had to abandon that idea. My other daughter and I did visit Kourtaliotiko Gorge and waterfall which was amazing and we made it to Souda beach on the last day which had lovely clear water. We had a car so we could travel around. I personally think that is an essential if you want to explore the area as it takes a while to drive anywhere as the roads are quite small and bendy!STEPHENUnited Kingdom

Although there was construction from the next hotel, on the moment I complained , we were given a better room in a quieter side. We really appreciated it and we are sure that as soon the construction will be completed it will be the best place on the south of Crete to reside. Close to the beach and all the great restaurants. The hotel is smaller, but very cozy in a beautiful and quiet place. The room provides a perfectly adequate space for two people. The view from the balcony is unforgettable. Room cleaning daily and in a much higher quality than I have experienced in many other higher category hotels. Breakfast is a buffet, very tasty, in the hotel garden with a nice view of the sea and Plakias.

We loved our stay, they are very well equipped from cooking devices to washing machine, etc - everything you need. Every morning a guy comes to clean your pool and cleaning ladies every 3 days. Very close to beach, supermarket, restaurants... We requested earlier check in and check out which was not a problem. Tonia was so friendly and helpful, thank you, one week was not long enough!

The location cannot be better, the creek is simply amazing. The pool with the bar is very nice with incredible views. The room is big and nice, and the bed very comfortable. The buffet is surprisingly good. There's lot of cool activities. It looks like a 5 star resort that downgraded to 4 star. It makes it very good for the price.

The hotel has everything you need, it’s clean and the beds are super comfortable. Above all, we loved the hospitality of Katerina and Fotis- very nice hosts and gave us great tips of where to eat and relax. We would definitely recommend this place!
