This Lakeland slate house is 0.5 miles above Buttermere village, and ideal for the famous Haystacks walk. YHA Buttermere has a bar/restaurant with views of the Red Pike and High Stile mountains.
Accommodation is in dormitory rooms, or private rooms with a shared bathroom. The majority of rooms contain bunk beds. A laundry facility and a lounge area are all on site.

I particularly like the fact that is always attracts people with a genuine appreciation of the area and love of walking. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
