To wake up to a sunrise over mountain ranges and the fields across from the lodge was a great experience. There was only one other family at the lodge on the night that we stayed, so we pretty much had the entire house for ourselves. The house was very well maintained. The library, kitchen, patio, the room, everything was just perfect. The hosts welcomed us with a bottle of local wine and cheese and fruits platter. They gave us great information about the area. Everything was just perfect

El 8 on Oregon Boutique Lodge, situado en un entorno tranquilo, junto al bosque protegido y la ruta Conical Hill Walkway, ofrece alojamiento boutique para adultos y aire acondicionado. Owners were fantastic. The room and balcony were gorgeous with amazing views and beautifully decorated. Very quiet and serene atmosphere. Gear location for walking into town and conical hill. Free rental for mountain bikes but we did not have time to use them this time.

Easy to walk both to Kaikoura & South Bay & other tracks. Our host was very responsive & kind. Should we ever find ourselves in Kaikoura again, we would definitely stay here again.
