Volcano Eco Cabin Retreat is a chalet situated in Volcano, 16 km from Kilauea and 9.6 km from Volcano National Park's entrance. We loved everything about the accomodation. The atmosphere is wonderful, in the middle of a forest, calmness, silence, beautiful starry nights, jungle sounds. The lodge has everything you need, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, good wifi, everything is clean. It is very close, about a 20 minutes drive to Volcanoes National Park. I highly recommend to stay here if you visit Big Island. The hosts are so kind and helpful they really put their hearts and mind into this little lodge. Located at the base of Mauna Kea Volcano, this upcountry Waimea lodge offers cable TV with work desk and fans (available upon request) . Hapuna Beach is 15 minutes’ drive away. Awful awful place. Do not stay here. If you do... Well, I might have a harder time getting a room and/or paying more. So, yeah, definitely do not stay here. 😉

Aquestes cases de camp, que han estat restaurades, es troben davant de l'oceà, a la localitat de Waimea, a l'illa volcànica de Kauai, que és la més antiga de les illes hawaianes, i tenen un mobiliari... Charming collection of old cottages on site fronting a quiet beach. The cottages are all slightly different, but well equipped, comfortable and clean. It is charming and understated . The details on the Booking.com site really undersell the property. There are beautiful sunsets and the grounds are lovely to walk in. The property does have an independently run restaurant and bar on site. Close to the Waimea Canyon, so you can get a morning head start on other visitors.

Nestled in the tropical Ohi'a and Hapu'u Rainforest at the entrance to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Chalet Kilauea offers 3 distinctly unique properties: Chalet Kilauea Hotel, Lokahi Lodge and... Fantastic rooms, cosy, comfortable (very comfortable bed) and done with exceptional esprit. A unique experience. We actually looked forward to be back in the room after we finished our hiking tours.

Set 18 km from Kilauea, Volcano Hale offers accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a shared kitchen for your convenience. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Old historic property with a lot of charm. Very convenient location for exploring the National Park.

Kalani Oceanside Retreat features garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Pahoa, 2.3 km from Kehena Black Sand Beach. There is also a fridge, microwave and a kettle. Lovely cottages and the place it self. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Star glazing was an amazing experience. Enjoyed lovely sunrise every morning. Loved the idea of guest writing their experience in the cottage diary.

Lumeria Maui is an educational retreat center located in beautiful Upcountry Maui. The staff member John was very helpful. He introduced the property and some nice restaurants in Paia to us. When I needed some ice to treat my injury because I accidentally hit the trunk lid, he helped us right away. We really appreciate his kind assistance. The breakfast was also pretty good!

Set in the Waimea Park, The Cabins at Kokee is 9 km from Waimea Canyon. A full kitchen is available in each cabin. Polihale Beach is 17 km from the property. The Cabins are located inside Kokee State Park just a few minutes away from the Museum but a good 30 minute drive from Waimea. So it is best to bring your own food. As you are surrounded by nature and quietness at the lodging, expect to not have any kind of reception whatsoever. But if you are open to that and also want to spend some time hiking and exploring Kokee and Waimea Canyon this is a really good place to stay for a reasonable price. I was checking in rather late and although the office in Waimea closes at 5 pm it was enabled to check-in after, the staff was incredibly helpful with that. It is possible but I would not necessarily recommend driving up to the Cabins after sundown as the street is rather windy and completely dark. The cabin itself was lovely and definitely exceeding my expectations. There is everything you might need for living at the Cabin for a few days including a fully equipped kitchen with pots and pans, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, stove and oven and even a little firewood for the fireplace as it does get cold during the night and obviously the cabins are not completely wind proof. Upon check-in you are provided with clean sheets and towels and an additional blanket in case you need it. There is enough space for at least three if not four people at the Cabin.

Sitting near a black-sand beach, West Kauai Lodging is located in Waimea. This beachfront holiday park sits at the entrance to Waimea Canyon and Kokee Park. Walkable area with neat shops and restaurants. Walking distance to the beach!!!! Spacious room with comfortable bed - you can hear the waves all night. Would absolutely recommend if there’s availability-amazing value!
