The Mason Arms is located on Devon’s Jurassic Coast, just a 10-minute walk from Branscombe Beach. Our 10/10 stay at this place started the night we arrived. After a somewhat harrowing drive in the dark/rain/fog down a tiny road we were exhausted. The lovely man (Dan who it turns out was just filling in but did a bang up job) at the check in just took us straight to our (out of this world) room and said "Check in in the morning, no problem" and handed us a pot of cream (... this is for your coffee/tea). The room itself was huge and gorgeous with a full sitting room area, mini kitchen and a giant king sized bed that was so comfortable I would still be there if I could. The bathroom had a great shower and a giant bath tub. We stumbled across to the pub and (although it was past kitchen closing) the chef made us a lovely salmon dinner. Things just got better from there - gorgeous full breakfasts, lovely dinners, kind and caring staff EVERYWHERE. The town is tiny but stunning with plenty of interesting historical buildings and great hikes both around the area and over to the next town (charmingly called Beer). Thank you to Dan, Sophie, Connor and Hannah for making our stay so incredibly special.

Es una agradable ciudad, no muy grande, pero muy bien situada para realizar visitas por toda la zona de West County y Devon. Alojarnos en Royal William Yard, además de bonito, fue muy práctico porque la zona cuenta con diversos restaurantes.

A beautiful hotel, well-situated for a seaside holiday, with ocean views, the town and beach an easy walk (and a number of exceptional hikes available leaving from the front door), and a delicious breakfast spread every morning as well as cooked-to-order dishes all included in what we felt was a very reasonable price. Beautiful location, beautifully decorated rooms and building, with good amenities. Very clean and comfortable . Very friendly and helpful staff. We really enjoyed our meal in the Snug bar in the evening and drinks on the sea wall. So lovely and quiet with no traffic and a great village.

Gara Rock is something else - the location is spectacular, and the facilities are really excellent whilst also being relaxed. We really enjoyed our stay, and wanted to stay longer. We made excellent use of the spa and restaurant - the restaurant in particular was excellent, all the food we had was delicious and the staff were super friendly. Marius in particular was really knowledgeable about the bar menu.
