Situated in Christchurch, 300 metres from Canterbury Museum, The Observatory Hotel Christchurch features accommodation with a fitness centre and private parking. This is a fantastic hotel that ticks all the boxes for comfort, customer service and a sense of luxury. The staff were fantastic and made us feel very welcome. The bed was amazing and so was the shower. We also loved how the hotel was decorated; lots to see (artwork, books, etc... not your standard hotel lobby) and the location was perfect for us: short walking distance to everything in Christchurch center. In the same courtyard as the hotel you can find a wine bar which is a lovely place to spend an evening. I cannot think of a single thing that I would suggest to change in this hotel. Our stay was simply perfect.

New in 2019, this 5-star boutique hotel is ideally located on Victoria Street in the city of Christchurch, amongst a variety of cafes, restaurants and bars. Our stay at the hotel was fantastic from start to finish. We received a lovely welcome dessert on arrival as it was our honeymoon; the room was fantastic in terms of facilities and overall quality/comfort; the nearby gym and complimentary on-site laundry were a great convenience; and the food in the restaurant was also great. Most importantly, the reception manager Abhishek saved our day by helping to defrost our car so we could get to the train station on time, and was good-humoured even while we were very stressed. A top-class hotel all round!

We loved this hotel! Lovely spacious room overlooking a lush courtyard. Extremely comfortable bed, great shower and aircon. Very nice outdoor seating area for drinks and food. The staff are all amazing, so friendly and attentive. Plus a free shuttle is available to and from the airport. Totally recommend this hotel.

Offering an on-site walking trail, Koura Bay Lodge is a 13-minute drive from central Kaikoura and Kaikoura Train Station. It offers free unlimited on-site golf on the 9-hole golf course. Exceptional location against the hills looking across the golf course to the ocean. Idyllic night sky with mist drifting over the mountains. Jen and Warren are fabulous hosts. Jen made us two reservations at wonderful restaurants the Strawberry Tree and Zephyr. I am sure without her wizardry we would not have got into these great places. The next day Jen made us a Jen gin and tonic. She could be an honorary Canadian as it was exactly as we make them at home. Koura Bay Golf resort is an outstanding home away from home. The rooms luxurious spotless well appointed and so quiet. We would highly recommend Koura Bay for all travelers and particularly if you are looking for a golf resort.
