Modern and clean. Amazing views of Lake Como from the terrace. The host, Viviana, is very welcoming. 30 minute hike to town which we came to enjoy. There are many trails to do this. Especially liked the one past the cemetery. The shower feels so good after a long day of hiking. Take the ferry to Bellagio and have lunch.

The location is absolutely ideal, a short walk, -- or, in some cases a few steps, away from just about everything you'd want to see/do. The place is spacious (especially for one person), the WiFi worked fine, and the AC held up during the part of my stay in Varenna that was exceptionally warm. Check-in/Check-out was easy. The host's father picked me up from the train station, and I was able to check-out quite early at my own convenience using the key lockbox. The Host was also very prompt in answering any questions I had, which always goes a long way. Should I return to Varenna, I would absolutely look to stay here again.

The house has a very nice view and very spacious, 15 minutes walk from Varenna. Franco came to pick me up at the station and then drove me to the place. This was super convenient. I recommend it to everyone.

Location, location, location. This two level apartment with two bedrooms and one bathroom downstairs and a living area, kitchen and outdoor balcony overlooking the lake with uninterrupted views was superb. For the practical it is within walking distance of the station, ferry terminal and town square. And having explored other villages/towns on Lake Como we would thoroughly recommend Varenna as a base for exploration of this amazing part of the world. The holiday rental staff were very cordial. The added bonus was a washing machine facility.

Waking distance from the railway station (within 10 minutes) and 5 mins walk to the ferry point from where you catch ferries for visiting other islands. The owners are Lovely and very pleasant. Access to the property was given to us so we could move around anytime of the day or night. Breakfast is optimum and fresh. The fridge was stocked with a few welcome drinks. Very close to the town parking garage and the two garden villas as well. Bags can be left at reception until check-in time, and there's an elevator. Breakfast was very good, with eggs on request, and lovely smiley staff.

The room was large and comfortable with an amazing lake view. The staff were professional, extremely helpful and reception kindly let us leave our bags both before our official check in time and even after we had checked out so we could explore more easily.
