One thing to remember, Funchal is all about uphill and downhill roads and pathways, so gear up for a good work out when walking and indeed a slow rollercoaster. I highly recommend this place!

I especially liked the little dog that the owners have.

The street nearby can be a bit noisy during the day as it is one of the main roads, but the location makes up for it. Supermarket is basically next door and beach is also quite near :)
